About me

I hold a Doctor of Social Sciences degree in psychology, and I am a psychologist and coach. Every day, I combine office-based work with teaching as an academic lecturer. This allows me not only to support others, but also to continually develop my competencies and view the work of a psychologist from a broader perspective.

Experience

I gained professional experience in different areas of psychological work, which helps me better understand the needs of people living in different situations. I worked at a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre, a primary school, a day-support centre for children and adolescents, a district family support centre and an adoption centre. I am particularly interested in working with families — including adoptive and foster families, whom I accompany at different stages of their journey.

I also have many years of teaching experience — for more than 8 years I have taught at higher-education institutions, sharing knowledge of psychology and practical work with people. I also developed my competencies in HR, recruitment and communication, which helps me better understand how people function in the workplace as well.

In my office-based work

In my academic work, I am primarily interested in what supports psychological well-being — in particular, the role of self-efficacy beliefs and the importance of life goals in building satisfaction with life.

In my office-based work, I focus mainly on psychoeducation and initial consultations that help people choose a direction for further action. I help with recognising needs, coping with emotional and developmental difficulties, and strengthening motivation and resources. Prevention is also an important part of my work — supporting development and preventing difficulties before they intensify.

Training and workshops

I also conduct training sessions and workshops for parents and professionals on, among other things, child development, social skills, building relationships and parenting skills.
